The papers discuss theoretical and methodological issues and actual tasks of political psychology at the present stage of its development. Psychological factors of democratization of country’s political life, social innovations and transformations of Ukrainian society are studied. Phenomena related to the European integration process, the Bologna Process, media education, country’s information politics, such as historical memory, virtual space of personality, social capital, poverty and outsiderness, attitude to national currency, migration behavior, perceptions of geopolitical reality are analyzed. The results of the study of social and psychological patterns of political communication and election campaigns in Ukraine and psychological mechanisms of activity of subjects of political space are presented; theoretical and practical aspects of personal identity formation in civic and political areas of his/her activity. Particular attention is paid to political and psychological problems of youth socialization, perosnality formation in contexts of globalization, multilingvizm, socio-economic inequality, educational and professional development, rural and urban environments. The papers are addressed to the scientists, teachers and students active in different branches of political psychology and related sciences.
The current tasks of social psychology at the present day stage of its development are being tackled in the publication. Psychological conditions for consolidation of the Ukrainian society, role of ethnic-cultural, geopolitical, civic and other factors in the process are being studied. Phenomena concerning political, civic and citizenship participation of an individual are being analyzed; patterns of motivation emergence and decision-making, characteristics of interaction and trustful relations in these processes are being identified. Continuum of political and psychological research presented in the publication also covers political world outlook and the most common political practices. Findings of the research of psychological patterns of political and mass information communication, motivational and value transformations of individual consciousness in the modern media environment, and periodicity of Ukraine’s political and psychological development are presented. Theoretical and practical aspects of forming political representations and assessments of subjects of the national political environment are being described. Considerable attention is paid to political and psychological issues of combatting poverty in the society and deformations of law awareness as a result of the individual economic resource deficit. The publication is aimed at the researchers working in the fields of political psychology and related sciences, teachers and students.

Considerable attention is devoted to the peculiarities of functioning of political and psychological constructs of justice and ideology in the areas of the social and legal regulation. The phenomenon of poverty as a lifestyle and possibilities of correction of the difficulties caused by it are considered. This collection of articles present findings of the research on psychological aspects of current social and political situation in the country, and in particular such issues as national consolidation, development of civil society, European integration and democratization, the social processes that are taking place under the foreign military aggression against Ukraine. The psychological factors of development and display of citizenship identity, political and legal competence, patriotic sentiments and value dimensions of political awareness of Ukrainians are under analysis. The outcomes of studying of politically significant social phenomena (individualism and collectivism, social well-being, etc.) are presented. The authors have made a number of scientific generalizations of empirical studies which unfold the dynamics and the potential of the development of youth political awareness – awareness of the generation that grew up and shaped under formation of the independent Ukraine. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of the media context of political processes and phenomena, Internet communication, psychological ways of resistance to manipulative media technologies.
